looking for some info on the Joplin creek area, how is the access, terrain and most of all any idea of the water levels in early august?

Access by float plane or jet boat up the Tuchodi river. Water levels should be high enough in early August. You can find many threads on here about running the Tuchodi.

I've been told the creek bottom up Joplin is horrible hiking but you can do it.......If you are jetboating....apparently you won't want to stay long as the levels will drop and strand ya up at the lake. Just what I've heard.

we will be flying in, then plan on hiking joplin creek.

apparently nasty to get into but like anywhere......it has rams. Nothing secret there.

there are rams there and there is a horse trail there just have to look for it

First 4 or 5 miles are thick than it opens up ,but a long way in to the sheep
