Cowichan's hot right now to. Was out today. The March run is in! Typical smaller 5-8 lb'rs. I landed three shore fishing and lost the same on the lower river.

Nice fish I am leaving to come out to Victoria to visit my son while he is in university. What fishing equipment should I bring out to enjoy some of this?

Good waders. A level wind or centre pin reel on a ~10 ft medium weight rod. Something you can control the drift ie. release line with control. Terminal tackle is very simple and inexpensive. Floats, hooks, a few rubber eggs or worms and some yarn.

I take this is just a wade and drift type of fishing..:)
