Howdy folks,

I have run out of food saver bags and am looking to stock up again. I have been searching for an alternative and have found some interesting alternatives.
ie: http://www.dnrsausagesupplies.ca/cart/index.php?cPath=25_68&osCsid=6cd15iimd3rrahlk489ndjfak1

These bags are around/ close to half the cost of the costco 6pack, and about the same amount( 100 bags ) and pre-cut which is fantastic.

Has anyone out there had any success with alternative products for the food saver bags?

I ordered the case pack from the US and had them shipped to a post office box in Sumas. They didn't charge me any taxes when I brought them across the border. I figure they'll last me at least a couple years.

tightgrouper, are they as heavy as the Foodsaver bags? I've tried Seal-a- Meal and they are inferior to FS.

I've used the rolls that wss carried. I can't remember the name but I found them to be superior to the foodsaver brand and about half the price. Unfortunately they've been out of stock for a couple of months now. When they get them back in I plan to stock up.

edit: the brand is weston

I just got them and they are a touch lighter.

Now I am looking at these:

I think this is the best so far. cheaper pre-cut and heavier.
