1. moose
2. elk
3. blacktail (not much mule deer experience)
4. whitetail

If you added caribou to your list it would be #1 by far

2. moose
3. mule deer
4. whitetail
I have only tried whitetail a couple of times so maybe with more tries 3 and 4 could swap. I definately like elk the best but thats maybe just because I always have a lot of moose.

1. Mule Deer [young buck]
2. Moose [immature bull]
3. Elk
The Elk was given to me and I don't think the meat was looked after very well so it's probably not judged fairly, and I have not tried White Tail deer.

As for Elk, I have yet to connect with one. In the mean time I'll just have to make do with moose (awe shucky darn).

The mule deer doe I got in Williams Lake this year is fantastic. If elk and moose are that much better, as everybody seems to think, I can't wait till I get a chance to put some in my freezer.
