View Full Version : Burnaby Blacktail's (PICS)

I was driving up to SFU today at noon and I noticed across the oncoming lane in the bush some Blacktail's. I have seen 2 does there before but not for a while, I mostly see lots of deer along barnet highway at the petro canada plant which is across the way from sfu all bush in between, they must live in that area between the 2 theres tones of bush all along that area. So anyway I noticed a buck and decided to loop around the university and put the hazards on along side the road to take some pictures. Man this buck has some junk on his head the bases were bigger then coke cans. it looked like he had 2 fists growing on his head lol, decent body on him too check out the pics. Makes me want September to come around that much more, I was in heaven. My girlfriend was shocked she's like wow now i see how into the outdoors you are.

Nice bases.... It looks like he's a freaking mutant! Hahaha
Doesn't look like the rest of his antlers are that big though...

Looks like the buck I have seen twice, once on the golf course, once at Texeco (just west of Barnett Beach). Their is quite the population in the area.

ive seen 10 once at the petro canada refinery they got a nice undisturbed area in that bush with no predators in there. yah his bases are massive but the top portion of his tines are much smaller it will be nice to see how his rack grows in come november

It looks similar to those hogs that dude arrow last yr and posted pics.

yah i remember exactly which one with those super thick bases darker antlers

I'd be looking for those sheds! You'd be surprised how many sheds you'll find urban shed hunting.

It looks similar to those hogs that dude arrow last yr and posted pics.

Those similar deer in the last years pics were from Mission, if I'm not mistaken.
