I would guess all the deer in the displays were from somewhere other than the Koots, since we all know there are no big bucks left in Region 4 anymore. ;)

Yeah those are just the Taxidermy displays from the area taxidermists, What about pictures of the 2012 WK entries. I worked so I couldn't attend. Surely you got some pictures of the entries??

I'll bet most of those weren't shot anywhere near the WK, maybe the exception with Marty's display some of those might have been.

Brambles,
No need to be a NIMBY and try keep those trophy zebras all to yourself. ;)

I know it sounds like the desparate ravings of a spot hoarder but Honestly those taxidermy displays arn't from the WK. Alpine is from Grandfork and the others are from Cranbrook. Neither are the majority of the animals on those displays:roll:

All I want to know is where that dropper muley came from? I might have to take lessons from the internet wannabees and send out the scouts to locate that gutpile. :)

The life size grizz standing over the goat is from the west kootenays the work was done from apex wildlife in cranbrook by phill as was the double drop tine mulie which is rumerd to be from the salmo creston =its a re-mount =shot years ago & may be a prarie buck = no rock scratches or chips on his rack -the double drop tine whitey was shot last year in northern alberta -the scar face black bear with the weasel below was harvested by a lady from the kootenays -the caribou is from the spat-phill made the teeth in the grizz to match the real ones as you can see in one of the pictures -great pictures by the way who ever you are ! lol Phill and I delivered the grizz today on the way home =With no gym floor and bad backdrop, it looks way better in the customers house ! The life size cougar was done by dan armstrong from cranbrook.
it was a great show ! Really great people out there in the west kootenays !

Yeah the banquet was a good time this year. Wish I had taken some more pictures though. I took these ones during some of the presentations while trying to get the baby to calm down. I wanted to get some of all the game entered this year but my camera died.
The food was good, pasta, stew, carrots, beans, chicken and potatoes.
Lots of good prizes. A buddy of mine won a nice over under 20 gauge with carved stock.
Had lots of fun and drank to much....again.

The first WT and the Bighorn got me semi-chubular....then the blondes didn't hurt!

I really like the black Bear mount. Not screaming in anger, just, you know, thinkin about Pikanik baskets and shit.

The Cougar was from Dan Van Zantan at Glacier Mtn. Taxidermy in Cranbrook!
