Get a go pro. Multi mount options even a chest mount Could put it on scope too, wear it like a petzel light. They are great Light and weather proof.
here is a cheap cam by panasonic I bought for under 200$ it has 78 optic zoom and batt life is long. The quality is so so and the vid I have here is kind on an indicator of the zoom. This little buck was almost 1 km away.

I just picked up the Canadian distributorship for these... http://theiscope.com/images/iScope4.jpg
Its an adapter that fits over your rifle scope and attaches your iPhone enabling you to video your shot! I hope to have my first order in within a couple weeks.

I have a Canon Vixa camera HF10 and a lot of their models are very good quality and smaller cameras.
Hard to find something that takes 'normal' batteries but you can buy a couple extra batteries for the Canon stuff (as well as extended ones) and they last quite a bit of time...
Did you draw up north or down south for the tag?

You don't need the zoom, better to get first hand close up pictures.

Well, what calibre should you mount it on.

I like my gopro but not as the only camera for something like this. I actually have two of them, they work great but with no zoom capabilities I wouldn't rely on just a gopro. They aren't that great at night either but I would hope you aren't hunting g-bears at night because your camera would be the least of your concerns.

Make sure you get one with an image steadying feature, that way you can film yourself being chased by a grizz....lol.. sorry I had to
