View Full Version : MU 7-39 access in spring??

Like the title asks. Before the "super holy hunters" descend to criticize me asking about an unfamiliar area, I checked the "any other area" box on the grizzly leh card. I won't do that again, but it's done now. Do any of the mine roads run through 7-39? I'm looking on google maps, but any info would be appreciated. I'll still try to get out there, even for a longish weekend, especially if there is someone else headed that way. Thanks.

Does that mean you got a draw in 7-39 or are just "wondering" in case you do ? RJ

The Kemess Mine Rd gives you access into 7-39.

Your lucky if you got a grizzly draw in that area, there is a very healthy population of them there.

There are many roads in the area. Be aware that use of ATV for hunting is not permitted. Also be aware that you are going to be hundreds of kms from gas stations or help, so be self-sufficient and aware that the natives have been known to cause trouble on occasion.

Should keep you camp off the main roads.

Awesome area. We've seen some beautiful grizzly's there.

we were up in 7-39 last fall,saw 8 grizzlies no shooters,and the natives are no a problem at all.
the odds must be down in the spatsizi,4 of us put in for sheep got 4 tags,goona have to get a extra plane out with all the meat

Yep, I got it. One BIL got drawn in 7-23C too, I haven't talked to the other one yet.
