Good luck to all. Alot of mountains up there, not alot of sheep! But very nice country. Better put in for some Caribou, goat and grizz tags now!

A friend and I both got the draw for 6-20a. Very new to this sheep hunting thing. Would appreciate some info on this area if you have some.

Sounds like it could be busy up there... Good thing there are vast areas of the park where few people venture.

Fly in to Bug Lake and follow the horse trail to Cullivan Creek.

Fly in to Hyland Post and hunt the drainage Northwest of there (south side of Marion Creek).

Be in there on July 30th to get in position.

40incher, Can a plane land and take off, off of Bugg?

Whats the success like on a draw like Spatzizi or other LEH Stone's hunts?

Do people apply because there are bigger rams, more rams, better access, etc?

As a new BC resident, just trying to get a feel. Congrats on the draw guys!!!

Last year 110 tags were given out in Spatsizi to resident hunters - and 6 rams were taken.

It's a massive area, not the easiest access, and the success rate has always been fairly low. There are a few good pockets to hunt and usually a couple nice rams are taken every year.

Thats interesting man. I'd be curious on how it compares for success in other GOS areas or other LEH areas. Also would be interested how many out of 110 tags actually made the commitment to go on the hunt and get in there eh?

Lots to learn...thanks for the post. I'm really excited about learning about all the sheep options BC has!!! Cali's, bighorns, stones, and dalls!!

Honestly there are areas much easier to be successful than Spatsizi that are GOS. The LEH is centred around controlling the pressure the park receives. Everything in the park is on LEH, moose, caribou, and goat. My guess would be of the 110 tags given out, at most 20 people go.

Half will buy a sheep tag and out of those the success rate is around 10%.

I'm sure the weather played into the success rate of last yr's late season hunters.

When we were there last year we stopped at Totogga lodge for a bite to eat.We walked down to the floatplane base and one of the pilots was there he said numbers were way down most likely because it hadn't stopped raining all summer and fall.

Digdog. You can fly in to Bug Lake. There is a guide camp there and a good horse trail takes you up into Cullivan.

Drew for 6-20A as well! Very pumped! With this many groups, maybe we should just charter an old WW2 bomber to drop us in?

the increased tags and early draw can be a double edged sword eh! Good luck and knock one down.
