finally got my goat back and my dads grizz

here is my goat from the EK and my dads Grizz from the OK
We didnt know what to do with the Grizz because the back was rubbed so he wouldnt make a nice rug. So I got this idea from a similar mount I saw done on a goat and thought hey, perfect. my dad added the bits and pieces to the pack, including the leather vest whick is his first moose. My grandfather got the vest made for him back in ontario.

Love the grizzly mount! I have done the same before for goat mounts but never thought about doing a bear that way! Great idea. I'll have to steal that one.

Thanks, he was a 10x 10 1/8 inch billy, I have yet to score him, but he means more to me then a number and I would love for you guys to guess his age...! sorry for the blurry pictures, when I get him home ill post a better picture. he is still at the taxidermist. and the grizzly I thought was a creative idea due to his rub, what else do you do with it? anyway thanks for the compliments

awesome bear !! now I know what to do with the black bear ( brown phase ) I arrowed a couple years back , very creative !!
love the goat , I have a 1/2 mount , prefer the life size myself - room permitting , looks great , 10" + will score very well , congrats on 2 fine animals !!

he had rubbed his back quite bad and we did not notice it before shooting. adn we thought a rug wouldn't look that great with the rub so we through around some half mount ideas and cave ideas but this was the most practical, original and economic way. it is my dads grizz too i just thought of doing it that way, with some insperation
