Hey guys,
I just had a quick question. It is my understanding that you are not allowed to harvest a black bear while it is in the presence of another bear.
The reason why I ask this question is because I have been reviewing some "wild tv" video and there now has been two video's (one with Jim shockey) where they harvested a bear right next to another one (and yes, they were in BC)
Can any one advise me.
Thanks.

Hunting regs, page 14
It is Unlawful
12. to hunt a grizzly bear or black bear
less than 2 years old or any bear in its
company.
I saw the shockey show, they did nothing unlawful there, both bears were over 2 years old, they identified the boar and shot it.

in "its" company..... This refers to a bear that is 2 years old or younger, not "any" bear.
English 101 but to be fair, it is one of the toughest to master.

If it's a big bear with a little bear it's probably best not to shoot either bear unless you check their ID.

I thought it was mandatory to have the card reader that bouncers have in clubs to determine if ID is fake or not?

Usually, if they catch you with fake ID, they take it away from you and sell it to someone else. Doormen/bouncers that is.
If they had ID more of them would be dead!
Then again asking a bear for ID might get you killed
