The title says knife, but I know that I am going to show more than one.
The first one here is a Normark. It was made by Fiskars in Finland. I bought it in 1967. It has been used but not recently. It's stainless and is a bit brittle. Years ago, a friend and I went west of Quesnel early one morning in late November. We went along the old Telegraph Trail around to Nazko. Anyhow, we saw a lynx and at that time, you did not need a tag to pop one. John decides to KO the critter and does. We take it home and he asks me if he can use my Normark to skin it as the blade is quite sharp in comparison to what knives John had. I was going for supper and the last thing I said as I went out the door of his shop was, "Don't try to cut any bone with it because you will put a nick in the blade." I come back after supper and sure as hell, there is a nick in the blade. He tried to cut through the bone at the joint in the front paw. Of course that pissed me off. Took me about a week of honing to get that out.

Long about the same time, I used this one too. This is a Shrade, this style preceded other manufacturers offerings by several years. The steel is also Shrade and in the photo it is positioned so that the case is used as a handle.

This knife is the one that my Dad used. I sent it away to have it re-bladed so the blade would once again match the curvature of the sheath. Unfortunately, it disappeared before it could be returned to me. I still pine about it once in a while. The blade had been honed many times as you can see by its condition.

I'll post some more later and let others post their pics in the meanwhile.
