I got the chance to sneak down from Vernon on the weekend for my only chance to see them this year (brant that is) Saw a ton in the bay and had a chance to yack with Red. I wish you all the best in a successful season and please post some pictures and stories. Unfortunately my knee injury has kept me sidelined since last August or I would be out there trying to smack a few of them. Again best of luck W.

I'm in the same boat as Popsy, and it won't be a brant boat:cry:.I'm still pretty sick from my last chemo, and doesn't look like I'll make it down to bum a day out with Branthunter or Stillwater.I'll be keeping tabs every couple of days though,so go get em' guys.If I get to feeling better I may try and thin out some of the local geese.Good luck all,Gunner

Here's a crappy cellphone picture for you Wayne. Got the big goose egg on opener but was very fortunate to be limited out an hour after legal time.

Coming back to the launch at 8am sure beats 4pm like yesterday.

Supposed to be a hummy westerly tomorrow, I know of one boat that should take an extra "bailing/puke" bucket with them! :) K

I think the Brant gods were trying to tell me something yesterday. Still got a Brant in-between upchucking. I think I should start a push to reopen the beach then I would be ok.

I'd like to know who called for the picked up winds and snow while we tried to pull the set all in. Made for an enjoyable afternoon. I dont think anything could of lowered my spirits after getting our birds so late in the day.

I'll be the first guy to say I have no sea legs at all, hell I come by it honestly, my Dad got sea sick on a Alaska cruise. As for mommy coming to pick me up she was a little too far, so Todd's wife had to help me out.

waves are proportioned, boat seems quite small compared to offshore rollers.

waves are proportioned, boat seems quite small compared to offshore rollers.I've done plenty of both,it ain't quite the same in a flat bottomed 12' punt.I've never been seasick anywhere but I've seen plenty who were,it don't appear to be much fun.Gunner
