spotting scopes

in the market for a spotting scope, dont know anything about them.

want to spend in the 300-500$ range

whats the difference between angled and straight ?

i like a straight scope better and i would imagine its personal preference. if you do a lot of spotting in steep country with high angles an angled scope might be better for you. if you use it mainly in a window mount of a truck go with a straight. i like the feel of the straight scope better than an angled one but thats jsut me. i dont use mine in the window. when you buy one look through both straight and angled scopes. there are a couple for sale on the alberta outdoorsman forum that are in your price range. one is a nikon and one is a leupold.
