This deer walked out when I was set up in my blind up hill from this deer ,the trail cam took the picture for me I decided to let this deer walk and maybe this year he might be worth taking if he is still around....

it is a GOOD thing you didn't take a shot at that WT buck,,,,,,,,,

you probably would have SHOT your own CAMERA !,,,judging by the camera angle picture and "your" blind location,,,,,,,,:? lol

Great vids! Thanks for posting. I don't know much about white-tail hunting, but the first few bucks seemed to behave a bit more like black-tailed. They notice you, you stay still, they stay still, you do nothing, they figure you aren't much, and wander on. I had always heard that white-tailed deer bound away the moment they spot anything out of the ordinary.

Cheers,
BB

HA HA Doug The path from my shot if I took it would have been 4 feet to the right of the trail cam ,good point you made and if I did hit the trail cam no big deal if this buck was worth shooting and I lost the trail cam it would be well worth it ,the trail cam replacement is only 100.00 dollars well worth loosing the trail cam in order to get a book deer ,the destroyed trail cam would look good along side the deer head mount as a trophy bring back memories LOL :)..

that WT buck is standing in a ditch, there appears to a be former log landing behind him, towards your blind,
good feed, close to heavy cover to disappear, all the requirements for sneaky Whitetails,,,,,,,,,,,,

It was hard passing up so many WT bucks last year never have been a selective hunter ever before in my hunting years ,its only been the last to years that I have been a selective hunter it is hard on me to let these bucks walk when you not used to doing this kind of thing you think to yourself what if I go home with nothing at the end of the deer season after passing up on some decent bucks ???? .

I Don't need much meat being by myself so this is why I do not shoot the first legal animal any more ,the few clips I put up are only about 50% of the WT deer that I saw the others that I saw did not stand around long enough for me to get a good rest to film them...
