I live in a small community where the closest city is a 2 hour drive and there are only 2 places to get boxes of rifle ammo for $22 bucks or so a box. I am always buying 3006 150, 270 130, and 243 80 and 100. I usually buy from canadian tire or walmart but find that they only have 1 or 2 boxes of what I want. Also I am usually shooting FEDERAL power shock and thats what I prefer but am willing to try other stuff. Just seems that the federal is the cheapest and shoots the best for me.

Is there any other way to get this ammo at or close to the retail prices I have been getting?

I am getting closer than ever to re-loading it myself just so that I have it when I want it.

You already hit it on the head. Reload.

Have a look at site sponsors and see what $$ they could send it to you. See if you can join with someone on an order to reduce shipping costs.

Sounds like, you best be saving your brass!

YOU, my surfing Brother, have to get into reloading. Like others said, contact some site sponsors like Omineca, etc, and ask what they can do. BTW, my '06 LOVES Federal ammo. Nothing wrong with that.
BTW, I'm a few hours away from Cloud 9, by ferry :-)

Cloud 9? Philippines?

I have been collecting my brass for some time. Must be a sign.
