Went to Chetwyn with my dad to try our luck with the cow elk season only to find that the bulls had herded them all into the bush & out of the area we had to hunt. After a couple days we turned our attention to moose. Never being there before we found a road with considerable sign and spent a couple days there. Here is the result. A nice 2X3 bull.

On one of our scouting trips we came by this guy who could care less about us

Then it was on to PG to meet the rest of our hunting party for our LEH cow moose hunt. Opening day we got this one.

On day five we then filled our last one

For the record, the immature was taken in the neck with a 150gr Federal Power Shok in the neck at 150yds, one shot. Just for the guys that think a 30.06 isn't big enough for moose hunting which seems to be a popular debate here once in a while. The two cows were also taken with 30.06's coinidently.
By the way thanks for the comments guys. If you ever need some truck servicing in Chetwyn go to Napa. My dad had an alternater problem and took it there at 3PM and they dropped what they were doing and put someone on it right away and got us back on the road. Great service!!! :)

What a 30-06 for moose? are you crazy you need a minimum of .338 win mag, if it doesn't say mag it won't kill a moose:lol:

My uncle shot a immature bull in the heart with a .243 at around 125 yards, so I believe a 30-06 is plenty
