Float Plane Charters???

hi im just trying to plan a DIY fly-in hunting trip and was wondering if there were any float plane charters in or around the PG area?....i tried google but all that comes up are guided hunts.....any info will help thanks NH

Hmmm...try calling Guardian Aerospace. It looks like they offer floatplane charters and one of their bases is in PG.

Oh, I hadn't heard about it. Mechanical problem, weather related or pilot error - what was the story on that one?

Hmmmmmm.....pretty expensive flying out of PG considering you can drive a long ways in pretty much any direction from there.

Fresh Air out of Chief Lake area has a Cessna on Floats, but he he primarily flies for Claw Mountain Outfitters and Collingwoods in the fall so you would have to book accordingly 250-967-4378. Pilot is Tom or Tim I believe?? Yup Tim..found his website

Tsayta (www.flightsnorth.com (http://www.flightsnorth.com)) is out of Fort St. James and Lakes District Air (www.ldair.ca (http://www.ldair.ca)) is out of Burns Lake. Also Williston Lake Air Charters in Mackenzie...sometimes the old fashioned phone book (or yellowpages.ca) is more reliable than Google!

Where are you planning to fly into? Most places that are fly in are going to have closer float bases than PG.

you could also try upper winds, he has a 185 and beaver. Might fly use the 185 to take you in at a better rate and faster, then come get you in a beaver if your sucessful and need the extra goss weight
