I don't mean to be flippant, well maybe a little but... The best one is the one that flies best out of your bow set up!

I haven't used those arrows but I doubt if either one weighs 500gr. Are they 500 spine? If so they both sound a bit weak for 60 pounds and 100gr broadhead.

A 500 grain arrow is easily attainable. Although I think it is a bit too heavy. Something in or around 390 to 425 would seem more efficient. There is no real need to use a 125 grain tip/broadhead as a 100 grain head will do everything that is required and then some.

If the OP is asking about the difference in quality between the GT and Easton shafts mentioned - IMHO - I would have to go with Gold Tip.

You can still buy a dozen GT shafts for less than $80.00 as opposed to the Easton equivalent at over $100.00.......

when i first started hunting with a bow,i used gt's and never had a complaint as to thier effectiveness.i continued using them for 3d and found i was going through far to many, mostly from missing then hitting something hard and squishing the tip.(i challenged myself alot on the hard shots)
then i tried the arimid kv's.
now i'm sold on those
as others have posted, use what flies the best and 500 grain is abit heavy.hermit and bow walkers advice sums it up pretty good for ya

my wife was shooting a Razor up until last year , VAP / Nano's and 100 grainers , switched to 100 gr muzzy's and flew fantastic.
of your 2 arrows choices , I'd be using the GT's ( if I wasnt using VAP's )

Hi thanks guys. Yes they are spined at 500- I can get a dozen GT fully set up for only 55$ compared to Easton. I will stick with gold tips thanks for the advice

Gold tips have treated me well and I will keep using them

In the end it comes down to what works best for you

Turns out he wasn't talking about weight but spine. 500 spine sounds a bit weak for 60 lb bow but if they fly good with broadheads attached that is all that matters.

And I can't just ignore it....a lighter arrow might seem more efficient...but it is not.

arrows are like bullets its best to play around with multiples and choose which fly best for you.

For absorbing and retaining the energy out of your bow. All else being equal a heavier arrow will always absorb more energy from the bow and thus carry more energy to the point of impact.

I like Eastons products .... that said I have also used GTs, Victorys and Darkhorse and all performed great for hunting

Whichever arrow flies best from you and your setup is the one to use - for me it has been GT shafts and likely always will be.

If it ain't broke, don't be messin' with it.

GTs, especially the cheap ones, have never spined very well for me. I found in a dozen of 600s you'd get some mostly 570-590 spine, with a couple 550 and 600. The 500s and 400s were about the same. They also tend to have a stiff side, so you can get them generally flying okay with some nock tuning.
The better ones like UL Series 22 seem to do better, but you pay for it.
Now I'm shooting the PSE Radial X-weave for a cheap arrow and they are far superior. I just wish they made 600 spine for my recurve.
