hey HBC,

well me and a buddy went for about a 6 hour hike today to see if anything has shed by now and this time i remembered my camera haha, as we were at the truck gettin our stuff together to start our hike i was puttin my gators on staring off into the bush and noticed movement it was 6 deer one was a 2xspike, it happend so fast by the time i was done scrambling for my camera they were gone, seeing that buck with both horns still didnt make me a happy camper haha, i thought they would have dropped by now but we went on anyways, we hiked for quite a while without seeing anything but there were tons and tons and tons of fresh scrapes all over the place and we didnt find one shed all day long but o well, once we go to a high vantage point being a regular tabbacco smoker i asked my buddy if we could have a break so i could have a cigar and glass the area and see if anything is moving around, just as i was saying that to him he spotted 2 moose off in the distance about 215 yards away, this time i didnt have to scramble for my camera as it was in my pocket ready to go, after seein the moose we decided to head down the mountin and back to the truck, didnt see anything else on the way back,

here are some pics from today enjoy,

Great pics, Matt! Good luck finding some sheds soon. The weather sure is a lot nicer higher up. Not sure when this valley fog will ever lift.

thanks guys, no better way to spend a day then being outside civilization, weather im hunting or just out for a daily hike like iwas in this thread,

but i did have one more pic from that hike that i wasnt going to post because i thought it might stir up some crap, but here it is while out hiking we came across the hide and head of a black boar PIG, it had one tusk for sure that that hooked back and was starting to stick in to the pigs cheek and is easily see able in the pic, not sure if the other side had tusks or not i didnt wanna touch it, anyone have any thoughts or ideas where this may have come from?? blood looked like it was still wet, like fresh wet

Interesting find. Do you think it was shot or attacked by another predator?
