Hunting in Vernon?

I have been in Vernon quite a bit lately and was wondering about bringin my rifle up there and doing some hunting, anyone know any good places to hunt, and had any success up there!

How far out of Vernon do you want to go for hunting and what do you want to hunt?

Your pretty much looking at 20-30 min from city center to get into a decent deer or moose area.

Go out where riverOtter is and head up towards Harris Creek or out towards Mabel lake in an area called the silver hills. Used to be a tremendous area 25 years ago and talking to friends down there they still are.

yea about 20 to 3 minutes, thx, mainly hunting for deer, maybe moose
