Great video, this hit home in so many ways. Previous years had me living my life with the motto " Nobody Can Do This For You", it brought memories that I cherish forever. I think if everybody applied this to all their dreams and aspirations it would make for a rich full life of achievments that couldn't otherwise be attained, and what a way to sit back and reflect later in life.............................................. ..............................

I thought this video was hilarious, I'm new to bow hunting and i'm serious about it, but this video is over the top. It reminded me of a U.S. armed forces enlistment commercial and what's up with pit lamping scenario with the 3D deer, I don't think I'll be practising in my headlights any time soon.

Than you will never be the calibre of hunter he is!
I thought the 3D in the headlights was pretty cool!

There's calibers of hunters now? Maybe I'm just on a different wavelength than some on this site but for me it's more about the food on the table than the mounts on the wall. In my opinion anyone that hunt's for celebrity today would have a hard time stacking up with hunters past. ie. open sights, non-mechanical bows. I'll give you that this guy is dedicated and talented but, for every guy like this in the spotlight I guarantee there are a thousand who are better and sleep comfortably at night without the acclaim. End rant.

P.S. Shooting deer in the dark by headlights doesn't make you good hunter, it makes you a criminal. I know this guy is just trying to show off, but I would love for someone to show the practical application for this type of training exercise.

That's what I thought. I myself don't try and belittle anyone who puts that much into his passion. Only make me look like a fool beside a true professional.

That guy is pretty hard core! There's being in good physical condition for hunting and there is that guy. Well to each there own, I don't knock the guy for the way he trains. Mountain hunting is hard work for most people, should be a walk in the park for him.

I don't belittle the man for his efforts or passion, just question the motives behind the blatant commercialism.

Some guys are waiters in restaurants and sell parts at the auto store, Cameron Haynes is a professional Hunter and commercialism is what feeds his family, he wants to be the best he can be.

I believe the headlight deer shoot was to simulate last failing light situations, not pitlamp poaching situations.

Wow!:confused:I thought you might have being hung-over or drunk whilst writing, your first post this morning! Obviously not! Practice is practice even if its in the headlights in the middle of the night! Poacher!:confused:WTF! Those were 3D targets his shooting at in the headlight's!
Serious they are not real!
You Know that so stop being ridiculous & give credit where credit is due!
The guy is an athlete & obviously dedicated to what he does!

Lets see some of your feild pics of animals taken with a bow!

My final rebuttal is this... For some reason you only take what you want from what I am saying and neglect the rest. Think what you want, I will continue to question. It is my right, as it is yours to become offended with thoughts contrary to your opinion. I respectfully withdraw.

I used to really like Hanes when he was all about hunting. Now he is all about the work out and the hunting is second place. Expect to see him soon in fitness mags selling "products" to enhance your activities.
I still read "Back Country Bowhunting" at least once a year.

The man is a Beast, but too over the top for me now.

You can tell he hangs with the Eastmans, always trying to invent little catch phrases. Regardless, everyone can learn a thing or two about drive and devotion from this guy.

Though it may not be your "style" (I'm not so sure it's mine) you definitely have to respect him. He is a super nice guy!

And, as far as I know, Cam is not solely 'professional hunter'... he still has a day job.

You might not see me walking around a 'Beast Mode' T-shirt anytime soon, but I still respect the guy and enjoyed is first book.

Nowhere does he shoot deer in the headlights. He practices that way. If you actually spent sometime you'd realized his methods of training and realize he shoots alot everyday to be prepared for that one time shot. And he other training is because he's a backcountry hunter. Anyone who hunts the backcountry will prolly say they wish they were in better shape.

Plus you say there's thousands of better hunters but yet you also pretty much said anyone who uses moden equipment will never be as good as past hunters. So the thousands of better hunters arent actually that good cause they may use "modern" equipment.

Well I'm glad none of us will be as good as those in the past. Guess I should get off this damn computer and go make a homemade long bow, arrows and chip myself some stone arrow heads. Anyone have a horse that I could get some hair from to make a string???

Well said Provider.

That guy gets up at 4-430 in the morning, runs 10 miles, goes to work, then goes to the gym after work. These short winter days don't leave a guy much time to practice so he comes home from the gym and shoots his bow in the dark. If you think there is something wrong with that then you probably have a stick up your arse.

although cams training regiem is pretty intence, everyone thing he does is right for him.
he has motivated me this year from this thread and from my past years in competing i'm now in training.
no i won't be taking it to his level but doing a few things everyday that pertain to whats comming up this season will definatly make me better for it.
pick the routien that works best for you and push yourself daily to be just that much better.
at almost 52 i'm not slowing down i'm getting better.
besides,i may have to run faster then a 30 something year old during bear season if things go wrong lol
