I've got some trail cam pics of a bear..Unfortunately, it looks liek the flash hit the underbrush ahead of the camera, and so the bear itself is fuzzy.

I've removed some of the underbrush, hopefully get some better pics of stuff. Sorry for the poor quality.

Anyway, anyone want to take a guess at the size of Mr Bear?

REALLY hard for me to tell, but I would guess mid 5 foot range. Only reason I say that is he looks to have a thin head still - like a germand shepard.

not huge but a shooter I am gonna guess 5 to 5.6

Just curious , but those buckets look a bit chewed , if you looked at the upper canine spacing that might give you an idea as to size (anything over 2 inches is very often considered a good size)

Well you have a picture of a bear on a trail camera with buckets in the background in one pic. Then you have bunch more pics with the bear and he is always at the same spot , like there is something there.

It just looks like he keeps coming back for something that is in the exact same spot each time????

The camera is on a trail/old road on my land that has been used by animals for a long time, on the way to a field which the bears and other cirtters feed in. The buckets have been there for some time, they have been chewed on by animals. I ended up moving them away, anyway.

I suppose there is a legal question here, though...It's illegal to *feed* dangerous animals, so if someoen threw a dead animal carcass out and attached a trail cam nearby, woudl this be "feeding"

All of us leave carcasses in the bush, which get eaten..It's not considered "feeding" it is disposing. If we attach a camera is it feeding? Farmers drag cow carcasses to the back 40, and they get fed on...etc.

And if you dump apples on the ground to attract deer, but a bear feeds on it, is that considered "feeding"

The only guy that I knwo of that was convicted of feeding wildlife was the pimp in Whistler, a couple of years ago. It's always interesting to explore the legalities and or ethics of things....8-)

I recall he was warned not to do it repeatedly before they actually charged him though:|
