That is a tuff call. 23 inch wide island fork is an enormous 2 point and definately worthy of being mounted. Not being sure of which deer to mount first is a good problem to have.lol Both are great bucks but I would mount the 2 point if it were me.

Second one, if you wanted to you can get a kit to do an artificial european mount for the big forky

the one that means the most to you wayne, the sooner that memory is on the wall the more you can relive the moments that put it there in the first place.

Nothing personal Wayne ......... I'd be waiting for a much bigger deer if my money was tight, in any case but ....... the trophy and what it represents is in the eye of the hunter that harvested it.

Just put em on a small burl or shield the way they are and save the shoulder mounts for better deer. Nice deer any way.

i love the big fork they are pretty hard to come by at that size for a clean 2. i would mount the one that means the most to you,the hunt you like to remember the most regardless of score.

Did you ever score the two point? That's gotta be the widest island buck rack I've ever seen.23 inch spread is UNREAL! Also.....any stories to go along with these bucks?

Have to agree with Kennyj there is nothing more awesome than a monster fork and that thing is a beauty.

I don't think that there ever was or has been a 23 inch wide fork ever shot on the island except mine ???.

If you're set on one of those, I'd go with whichever one you were leaning towards before you looked for opinions. I'd also consider the fact you'll likely end up with a honker Mulie or whitetail sooner than later and will want to mount that...

A nice plaque would make your smaller ones look good and save you some $.

P&Y would be my choice

i would leave those on placks and get the big whitey, mulie, or elk you kill in the next few years done. the second one gets my vote if your definately going to mount one.

My final decision is for me not to get ether of the island deer racks mounted I will get the WT mounted that I shot last year and save my money for a cranker RME ,WT ,Mule Deer now that I live in the EK and retired I just might be able to find a dream animal ,thanks very much for all your advice I really appreciate you ideas on what I should do ,if I ever get one of the two P&Y island deer done it will be the 3 point with gards..

This one is going in for a mount not that big but will look good on the wall when I get it back.....
