Howdy, was talking to a lady today in the office who just came back from the vet.
Her Staffordshire Terrrier/ Pit Bull was attacked by a cougar last night-head chewed up pretty good.
Vet told her there was a horse killed last night not to far from my house by a cougar.
Last week Llama killed by cat by Green Lake/Watch lake.
Anyone in this area with dogs? Game branch is trying to trap etc. but would be a good time for someone with a few dogs to get out.
Wolf/wolves spotted by the little lake where I go ice fishing near Lone Butte, may have to start packing while fishing. LOL Later

We may be persuaded to come up if the conditions are good... flurries on/off. Not interested if there are larger wolf packs working the same areas. pm me if you want.

The cougars were not too big from what I hear. I know a couple guys here with hounds. PM me if you would like their contact info.

apparently the COs are gonna sit on the kill tonite... Who really knows... This horse that got killed last night is less than 1 km from my house... If I see it, and get a chance, its dead...

Howdy, crown land backs my property-bush for quite a few miles. The Rotti has been barking quite a bit when we let him out the last two nights which is unusual for him.

If he got attacked I would be sending PM'S pretty quick. LOL I could probably get outside with a gun before he got chewed up really bad if one came around- at 150 lbs. he may hold on for a few minutes!

I wouldn't be surprised if the wolf sightings mentioned were coyotes but I will have a look tommorrow.

I mentioned the cats in case someone in the area needed a workout-I'm getting to old for that-I'm sure I am. Later

If there are alot of wolves in the area, houndsmen may not want to let their dog go...

For the most part, if you never ran hounds in wolf country you would never run wolves. Most of BC has piles of wolves except Okanogan and Lower Mainland This should not deter most of the houndsmen. Choose you tracks wisely before turning out.

Cougar was killed this morning by the COs. Large male apparently. One less cat to worry about.

I was wondering about the "4 legged" thread title myself. I am sure there are some three legged ones out there, but likely not enough to warrant specifying when they have all four!!!!
Interesting thread by the way.....
