Well, got back from my first hunting trip ever. Took my bow up to 3-30 to see if I could bag a buck during the "any buck" season. Saw a spiker and a 2x3 cross the road the night we drove in. For the next 3 days, I didn't see anymore bucks. Saw quite a few does, a sow black bear and her cubs (I thought that was pretty cool, never seen it before), some grouse and on the drive home, between Lytton and Kanaka Bar, a nanny mtn. goat and her kid. That was sweet. Pretty rare in that area. I did however bag my first grouse! 20 yards, sort of a snapshot, through some trees just at sunset of the last evening of the hunt. The practice I put in sure paid off. Highloght of my trip, that was. Well, I learned some new country, caught some fish and a made my first true bow kill. All in all, I have to say I had a great time, and I'm hooked on hunting!! :)
