That's awesome, nice way to start the year.
By the look on Darksides face it was a little cold. Were the beer cozy's to keep the luckys from freezing?
I think it's the tail you should be checking for spots ;)

Did some fishing back in August outside of Kamloops. Here is one of my triplets with a rainbow trout.

It's at Duffy Lake...and those are rocks and splinters of firewood. Husband and I raked up the goose turds and dumped them in the bush....didn't want the girls running through that stuff.

Its amazing how many Lamprey marks there are on your fish. I thought they were endangered in that lake. I caught a great big Brown on the river two years ago at Stoltz pool. Upon landing it the thing barfed out a live lamprey. I couldnt believe it, the thing swam away. And no it wasnt a snake cuz it swam down!

Very cool pics Jim Prawn. Ya definately have that lake figured. We used to troll it with Apex at 22-27 feet in the center of the lake and follow the kokanee schools around. Got some good ones but the way you are fishing looks like a helluva lot more fun than using downriggers. Keep em coming.

Cowichan Lake
That is one lake i have never had any luck in, i have fly fished, spin casted, trolled for hours tried everything in the box and never caught much more than some smaller trout. I know many people who fish it and they all get nice fish like in your pics, but not me, guess i should stick to the ones i usually haunt.
