Braved the elements this morning. 4x4ed it to a not to be disclosed location . Many birds were buzzing us, it was hard to pick them up in the blowing snow, but we managed a few.

Quit when feathers were freezing to the actions, and my safety froze when I went to shoot.

John downed his first Euro widgeon drake ever. A beautiful bird that we hope to have adorning our wall in the future.

All in all a good day out.

Yep, very nice Euro. Deserves to be on the wall. Looks like a great hunt.

-10c outside with -20 windchill. The snow drifts are forming on the roads, and not a bird around, and if there was, I'd be out there hahaha. Last sunday we had a lot wigeon coming right in and I kept trying to spot red within the sea of green, white, and grey but not that lucky.

Had planned to take field photo's but my hands were too cold and it was snowing so hard my camera would have got soaked. Hunting in the snow is fun once in a while but give me a pineapple express wind any day.
