You can't drive anywhere without taking every opportunity to scan a nice draw or sage flat for any sign of deer and catching yourself driving all over the road.

Your taking the ski lift up the mountain and imagining how cool it would be if you could use this thing to do your scouting/glassing from in the fall.

You can't drive by a deer infested farmers field without trying to figure out how to best head the deer off on there way back up to the bedding areas with out trespassing....

When you take your 10 year old daughter on a school trip to Grouse mountain, besides the Grizz, you wonder where there may be any deer. Then you find 6 bucks in velvet and one is going to be a cranker, now how to get him one thinks. Oh Oh back to the tour!!!

Every road trip not to do with hunting, always turns into a scouting trip somehow. Its funny how many times i get lost and find myself on a gravel road.

We do a lot of hiking in the summer, at least that's what my wife and kids call it, I call it scouting. Continually looking for sign and pointing out to the kids where animals have been feeding, bedding, or moving. I try to get them to be as quiet as possible but that doesn't work out too well.

Guilty..........I have a hunting addiction. God grant me the time to spend in the outdoors and pass on all my knowledge to someone who is willing to embrace my passion for the outdoors.

When you go for hike on the neighborhood hiking/dog walking trail with your wife and you end on 3 hour excursion off the trail and up the side of the mountain because you cut a huge deer trail and want to see where it ends up...of coarse the wife thinks you just want to get a better workout....I'm sure she knows better:-)

X2 here as well. My wife is constantly yelling at me to watch the road when we are going somewhere as I am looking for animals.

You know you're obsessed when you spend over 100 days a year hunting and yet you are still wondering on what you missed out on....

You know you are obsessed when...
You run out to grab a little bit of veggies to compliment that night's deer chop dinner... and return two hours later with a rather foolish grin toting 1/2 dozen arrows, 3 packages of broadheads, and two boxes of ammo because they were all "On Sale"... in January!

I had to drive to horsefly for work today. I put on my camo, grabbed the binos and camera and took the long way through the logging roads so I could spot game. Saw a guy with a fresh cougar in the back of his truck.

When you tell your wife your working late and you can make it to her familys for dinner, hike three trails that you know should produce deer than your dumb enough to bring one home.

I think they should put rumble strips on FSRs. I know it's saved me while on the pavement while looking up for critters particularily driving to Summerland during the winter.

That is hilarious....I live in pretty established neighborhood and sometimes when we get a bit of snow I catch myself scanning the snow for tracks...WTF!....

mind you we have had deer come through.

When your idea of Christmas shopping is dropping your wife at the mall and you then spend the next several hours stalking the local rams with your camera. You get a call on the radio that your wife is done shopping, so you snap a few more pics and head back to the mall to pick her up.

You know you are obsessed if......

You almost left your wife for using your hunting magazines to start the woodstove. True story
You go clothing shopping because you need something to wear that ISN'T camo. True story.
You talk about big bucks in your sleep. True story.
The way you remember your anniversary is by remembering the day you shot a certain animal. (A bear in my case) lol
