What a day!!!

Went out for the final hunt of the season and well this is how it started after a 5 mile run in -4 degrees.

Today we figured out why there is a Ha! in yamaha.
Still turned into a brilliant widgeon fest! We Even found a beautiful drake for the wall maybe!

Well we set up for all kinds of ducks to come in. I really wanted to get some of the sea ducks, the scoters and what now, which are almost an all black bird. A whole flock came over the field we were in and Lorne tol me to "Take EM Dave!"

My first tripple! And on sea ducks to boot! I didn't know they went to the fields at night, but Lorne put us in a great spot, near the ocean and sure enough in they came!

Here I am with my first triple on scoters! I thought they had a more colorful bill, but I managed to only hit females in the flock I shot into Lorne said!

The next morning we hit open water! We saw all kinds of wildlife including killer whales! However the yama had the last laugh, and we were toed in by the coast gaurd! Ha!

But we didn't let that stop us, I had a taste for sea ducks and wanted more, so we hit the beach and set up our blinds.

We did great! It was a total widgeon fest! Lorne will be changing his name to The Walking Widgeon Slaughterer. Got one wicked one for the wall, with a nice long tail, and great color.

It was short, but sweet. We did okay considering all the challenges we faced. TWWS is someone who just doesn't understand the words give up! Unless it comes to yamaha water pumps....

No that's wind burn from the high speed tow to shore from the unit 60 Coast guard ;) While we pointed out all the birds that would look nice on the wall.
