Well done, Kwasky! How long were you out there? Did the 'yote come in right away or did you have to call for a while? What rifle/caliber were you using?

Good work Kwasky! Be careful though predator calling is like crack. I think about it all year long, really buggard my deer and bird season this year. :)

coach i was out for about 2 hours but in a couple different spots. took about 15 minutes at this spot using pup howls and squeels. I used the only gun i have which is a 300 mag and is WAY to big lol (i guess it did the job). ill be investing in a smaller calibre rifle before too long hopefully in 22-250.

Awesome! I've made a mess of a few over the years with guns that are too big for the job. Shot one this fall with my .300wsm and the exit hole was the size of a cantaloupe. I've got a Tikka in .222 and hope to get into some action in the near future. A couple guys from this site are also keen to get out. Looks like a lot of fun from the videos I've seen. It also does make a difference in terms of taking pressure off the deer and grouse populations. I spoke to a local CO who told me they found a coyote den a couple years ago with 13 deer skulls in it. Keep up the good work! Thanks for posting and I look forward to future reports, pics, etc.

Run the 300, a hole is a hole, they all have to be sewn anyways if they aren`t snared.
Which way from town did you get it. NSEorW

If you don`t know what to do with it PM me, I know a trapper that might take it.

Another good one Kwasky. A friend loaned me his .204 last winter to try out, it was deadly on both coyotes and wolves.

Good luck with your calling.

Is it my imagination or is that coyote a little mangy? His tail and rear legs don't look as full as they should.

good job on the coyote I have tried calling a few times this winter, with no luck. Its been really windy when I have tried I don't think that helps.
