Put the decoys away, cleaned out the punt, hung up the duck calls. A short season with only five outings due to work but all successful trips. Finished yesterday with seven Mallards, it was a long afternoon with only singles and doubles but when they came in it was straight in. The highlight of the day was when I was picking up the decoys, that duck that flies straight in and lands in the decoys,you know the one that never shows up when your ready, well I shot him yesterday.:twisted: Probably won't get out again this season so good luck to the fortunate few who get out this week. Now the countdown starts for spring goose season.
