That looks like one of those deer with hormone problems. They stay in velvet and continually grow antlers, they never shed them. Still looks impressive eh?

That's why Dana Called it a "Cactus" Buck.....;-)
I heard they often don't even have Testicles:|

Looks like he Grew a bunch of them on the Antlers instead !

It shouldn't be measured. Got any photos of his food dish or the vet that cut his canolies off. I hope us real Canadians don't ever succumb to this bs, Leopold would have a field day with this.

Rainwater,
This is a wild deer killed in NV. Cactus bucks can occur anywhere even in Canada. Nobody gave him a snipping. Probably caught them on some barbed wire or got a stick jammed in them or something. Sometimes they are really old bucks and their testicles shrivel up to the size of peanuts.

I'm sure that B & C doesn't Score "Velvet covered" antlers anyways, Right ? :|
I guess it would still look Impressive...even with all that Gunk scraped off:)

Cactus bucks can't be entered in B&C. Still one in a million buck though. There is speculation that they don't cast their antlers but I do have friends that have picked up Cactus Buck sheds. They are really unique, almost hollowlike. Similiar to a Crunchy Bar.
