Just wondering if anyone has used the Winchester Accubond 180 grain for 30-06?

How did it shoot? did the bullet transfer energy well and hold together? any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

I use Winchester 30-06, SPRG, 165gr, Soft Point, Super X, CPX2
I have used them for 3yrs and like them.
I was able to recover the bullet from my spring bear. It was still intact and had mushroomed very nice.

I have never triied a different grain. Not broke don't fix it.
My opinion.

I use the Winchester 180gr Super X bullet, the one that is silver. Shoots pretty good, havent been able to shoot anything yet.

I wouldnt hesitate to use the 180 gr Accubond on anything in BC except for Bison and Grizzly, in a 30-06. Excellent bullet for deer, elk, moose, black bear, etc etc

I use the 180 grain accubond in my 30-06 and my 300wsm. I think its a great bullet. It holds together very well. Don't use the ballistic tip, they shatter like no tomorrow.

Ina recent penetration test I did, using the 30-06, I found the 180gr Acubond to perform similar to the 180gr Partition. The partition penetrated slightly deeper, but not much more.

ive shot two deer in the same spot(clipping the leg bone heart and lungs) with my 300wsm in that bullet and it holds together just fine putting a good size hole.

The Accubonds are Awesome.
Ballistic Tip Characteristics in a Bullet that stays together and penetrates like a Partition......
Best of Both Worlds8-)

This year I am using Federal Vital Shok 180 grain Nosler Accubond. It shoots better groups than Nosler Partitions from my Parker Hale 30 06. On Oct.2 shot a spike buck at 95 yds through the lower neck, cracked some bone and left a great big hole on the way out. Not a good test for penetration. Will try to use it on moose Oct. 15.
