My hunting partner and I are considering staying here while on our 8-12 deer hunt. Has anyone stayed at the Gold Dust Motel? Or can you make other recommendations?

Thanks,

A

There is not alot in Rock Creek to begin with!

I once had the most horrific omellete of my life at the Gold Pan or whatever itis called. Served bya waitress with terrifying 1950's porn star makeup.

FYI Omelettes are made of EGGS, therefore shodul be yellow, liek th colour of scrambled eggs. They are NOT supposed to be DARK BROWN.8-)

Picky! Picky! Picky!

As long as the sheets don't stick together when you pull them back, you're good to go.

You can rent cabins at Beaverdell. I did that one year. Worked out fine. BCKID

We did that last year for the game banquet, rented from Zacs, they were not bad and the price was cheap.

As a bonus , you are only 1/2 a block from the pub

It was just the Beaverdale game banquet. was around the beginning of November.
I'll check into when it is this year. It was not bad, they had cougar, Whitetail, Mule, Bear, Moose and Elk.

Made a phone call, It's called the Whitetail roundup and this year it is on November 18 at the Beaverdale hotel & pub

Thanks for the feedback boys. I've booked us into the Grouse Ridge BnB. If any memebers are in the area from Oct 18 - 22, we'll be in a blue Dodge pickup.

We have a great accomodation for hunters 10 minutes out of Rock Creek on the Mt. Baldy Ski Hill Road. We offer a self contained fully equiped house with 5 bedrooms, six beds 3 bathrooms, satellite TV, BBQ etc. Just bring your personal stuff and food and your are set. We have a group of young guys in right now hunting and they love it. Cant believe how big it is. They had deer feeding on the front lawn tonight before I was over for a visit.

Have a look at our site and keep us in mind for next time.

Stayed at the pub/restaurant there before. They have rooms upstairs; a few years back only about $20 a night; clean and not bad.

My pal has a WT draw for 8-12 which we'll put on top of the priority list. After that, we're free to wander and explore the different areas in the region. I might just pack an elk tag just in case we get lucky for the last couple of days of the 6pt elk season.
