Well its funny, somehow during my trip I forgot to take any good pictures of "the tub" or its occupants. Something I'll have to change for next time, sooner or later I'll feel okay with bringing 3k worth of camera out on the chuck hahaha.

Scouting some surf scoters that were fighting some good sized waves coming into the beach. They were getting knocked around pretty good.

A couple shots from the next day watching the different flocks offshore.

Nice flock with alot of drake surf scoters.

As Lorne says "Anywhere there's water, you'll find buffies" Truer words havent been spoken, salt water, fresh water, brackish water, sheet water, muddy water.

I can honestly say I have never harvested 5 different species in one hunt before, with some help ofcourse, these seaducks dont die easy thats for sure hahaha.

The pile picture, we had a pair of old squaw come buzzing by. I pulled on the beauty drake but obvisously didnt lead it enough, knocked the hen down instead behind him. I gotta give it to all seaducks with old squaw especially their ability to not want to die is higher then anyother waterfowl I've shot. 303Brit asked to see the famous "coup d'etat" and after it was performed the darn thing still was blinking. Tough little bugger. The scoters died a bit easier with the old broken back and squish technique.

My shooting was crazy. Like I mentioned I started shooting, went like 1 for half a box, then switched to something bigger and started to hit them better. They sure fly differently then the puddle ducks I've been shooting for 3 months straight.

This surf provided not only supper, but an appetizer hahahahahah I thought its neck was broken but it had three clams in its throat

A closeup of what I'd truely say is probably the nicest looking duck. "The woodie of the ocean" as Lorne put it.

And this is what will be on the hit list whenever I find myself in that neck of the woods again. Like to thank Lorne and Kyle, you guys made it possible to take a serious chunk out of my list of NA birds in one day. Not to mention all the funny stories told throughout the day. A truely fun and enjoyable hunt with outstanding results to boot.
