So I rendered out some duck fat for making roast potatoes. It was RANCID man!!! Smelled and tasted like some sort of fish oil. I even used wigeon instead of mallard to try and stop it tasting that way.

Anyone had any (good) experience of using wild bird fat??

Yes I know Goose Grease works great for getting rid of proud flesh on horses...That should say it all. Also heard it works for rubbing on your chest when you have a cold... eating..... not so much.
