took my girlfriend out for her first hunt. last year at this time she was quite opposed to hunting. ive worked to change her mind and considering my occupation shed have to accept it. first day was 4 pt only and after an hour had a decent buck 40 yards in front of us but his positioning wouldnt allow for me to tell for sure and never got a good look. saw a nice tall 2 pt a little while later. sunday comes and any buck opens. this hunt is for meat so i aint picky plus it might be my only chance to get out this year. seen another 2 pt with 11 does, again a nice tall 2 pt at 500 yds or so. snuck in to 300 but he was moving into the timber and i dont like taking long shots so no luck on him. the rest of sunday and monday was nothin but does. had to leave monday evening and as im getting ready to call it a trip this little guy walks out at 35 yds from me and i wasnt gonna pass up on meat with my last chance so i took em. the girlfriend had a great time. we hiked a tonne and saw a total of 45-50 deer, but in the end took the easy one. she might now be interested in getting her license. anyway im still hoping to get another chance to get out and take a bigger buck but he'll do for now.
theres a pick in my gallery. i couldnt get it to post here

It's one thing to say she had a good time and it's another that she actually did.

I can tell by her sh** eating grin, that she did. Goody on you!
