Hey Guys,
I don't normally post my kills on here but I'd like to throw this one up. My hunting buddy already posted a photo of him with my buck and our field photos were a shame unforunately and don't do this wonderful animal justice. I've bleached the skull and just need to make up a plaque to put him on display. Once he's mounted I'll get some better photos of the skull.
I wish I had a great story to go along with this one. The endless hours spent backpacking across the country side, staying for nights at high altitudes in search of the elusive mature muley left me empty handed this year. Dave met me at my work after coming off a night shift at 6:30am and we were driving out to our spot. This buck decided to jump across the road at 15yards and get plugged just before cresting a hill after crossing so close to us. As you can see I didn't even get dressed for hunting, still had work pants and just some warm clothing on for the drive up!
This is my biggest Muley and although I didn't have to shed any blood or sweat for this one on this day I have on previous hunts to make up for it!
We scored him roughly at 176". I hope to get him to the buck scoring get together event and have him professionally scored! He carries a fair bit of mass, 6.5" bases, and a neat right side that has some palmation.
Thanks for the read!
Me with my buck!
