Well I finally had enough of looking at my big elk from last year and various other racks sitting around in the shop. So I decided it was time to take back "the big living room" from the kids and get all my stuff up on the walls!!!

I still have a velvet whitey rack to do up, I need to fill the photo frames and would love to get rid of the big entertainment center housing the kids rat cage and replace it with a 50" plasma...but at least it's a start!!! It's nice to finally have at least 1 room in my house the way i want it!!:-D

I have to say I am disappointed. I was hoping for a head mount but instead you just got the horns? At least do a euro! IMHO you had a beautiful rack there and something eles should have been done with it.

To each his own (I know) and I am sure you had your reasons, but those are two beauty racks there. However, at least they are up, most guys don't even get to put em up! Congratulations!

I have to say I am disappointed. I was hoping for a head mount but instead you just got the horns?

Space was the biggest factor on that decision.....I still have the cape and down the road when the kids are gone and i can knock down a wall incorperating one of their bedrooms into the living room I will mount it then!

My great grandfathers .22's.....both are over 100 years old!

a little .22 subsonic will solve the rat cage problem.............

....and my daughter will hate me enough she'd probably move out......maybe the living room addition could be done sooner than expected!!!

Great room! Way to "man Up"Trophies like that show your prowess as a hunter and provider. In caveman days you would have a whole wall of paintings in your honor.
The tribe likes it when they don`t have to eat bark and moccasins in the middle of winter.

Whats that hangen across the moose rack?

across the moose rack is an old indian bow.....actual age unknown but it is very very old, it actually has some sort of animal skin as the outer layer of lamination on the front of the bow. Could be anywhere from pre-firearms up to late 1800's I suspect.

[QUOTE]What did that blackie square?? [/QUOTE

dunno...never measured it for square....he was 6 foot 7 nose to tail (on the carcass)...., should square around 7 foot I would imagine. Skull came up 1/16" short of Booner, best guess he was around 450#'s, but that was in the late fall and he was probably fattened up as much as possible at that time.
