Are there Dall sheep in the Atlin area that can be hunted during the GOS? Or is all the dall hunting under LEH??

P.S. Anyone looking for a sheep hunting partner for next august??

There are areas on gos where white sheep can be found. However, these sheep are not considered Dalls in the record books.

NWT is guide only also for all non resident hunting. It's a crying shame there is no hunter hosting here.

Alaska can be done by hiring a resident to guide you I think? Not sure on this one though.

Colored sheep have been continually most west. Not too many white ones that aren't on LEH.

I'm pretty sure not, but if you find out differently let me know, as I have a couple friends in Alaska that could take me out hunting!

The sheep in atlin are all stones. 6-29, 6-28 are the dalls i believe. all Leh. But not bad odds. Just have to get there.

Anyone have any "Tips" as to how to find one that is not in the LEH area?Might have to ride the White Pass Railway to the portion of 6-27 that is open gos, and find the lightest colored sheep in there. IIRC Bennett Lake is the boundary for Dall according to the record books, but that doesn't say there are no white sheep wandering about in 6-27, like they know where the border is supposed to be. The Stones in Atlin area stand out like goats they are so light.

Need a partner for that venture ? Next Sept ?
