No sir it was pretty grim....spent a month and didn't see one elk, a few moose and lots of bears. Still a good time so if you want tO come up next season fill your boots. The woodpile is always stacked and the beer is cold. :-)

You'll see more on the brassy and along the kitskatinaw river this time of year, you must have seen some stragglers.

Flew over that area 2 weeks ago and seen a number of elk in the blocks below the tower.

Was pretty slim picking there during the early moose season this year

Understatement Rob....it was downright sad to see the activity that was out there this year.
It was a real eye opener as to the numbers of moose we saw (er...didn't see)....first year in 10 that four of us were skunked. Saw plenty of others with empty meatpoles and trucks.

Same thing for us, first time in years [at least 10] we didn't bring at least a couple of moose or elk home....there is just so much industrial activity going on it's unbelievable. Lots of black bears if your into that though......

Open up a photo-bucket account [good idea to protect from losing your hard drive too], use their bulk uploader. once you get some pics on there you can copy them and paste to hbc threads.

Or, upload into HBC gallery....and you can copy and paste from there too....

Lots of black bears if your into that though......

The last 3 years we had some dealings (heard them, saw them, or called them) with wolves each morning and evening hunt for 7 days....this year we heard them 2 times quite a distance away.
The other big difference was the blacks bears...at least 3 a day every day. Previous years, were lucky if we saw one the whole 7 day camp.
Perhaps the greenery coming up along the widened, upgraded roads and pipelines!?!
Increased food and visibility will do that...

Aww the meat market I miss that place haven't been there for a couple years since its my back up plan if we dont get moose draws around here. That meadow is something else. Last time we were there it was getting pretty difficult to find a spot that didnt have a person sitting in it not t mention the riggers were bombing around on dirt bikes all over the place.

If you hear something, then you can tell others that you heard it.
As in "I heard about a herd of Uncicorns on Puggins Mt Rd.
This is another sour grapes, 'someone ticked me off so I'm gonna spoil it for them' thread.
