We are thinking about making camo wall tents. They will be exactly the same material, cut, fit, and finish as our standard Hermitage Wall Tents. They will be made by the same supplier that produces Deluxe Wall Tents for Perry; and Capital Canvas right here in BC on Vancouver Island. We anticipate they will cost about 5% more than current models.

So, if you were in the market for a top-of-class wall tent would you want the camo or standard white model?

Will you take trades on the white ones you have sold????
I guess it would also depend on how much darker it is inside during the day.
I would not want a cave.

Camo might be cool but as laredo said what about the light, and when you come back real drunk from huntin will you be able to find your camp (just kidding of course)

I like the idea of the camo for the longevity of the looks of a wall tent. Mine is 25 or so yrs old and the white shows stains from trips gone past. But like laredo318 i would not want it to be too dark inside either.

Can you make it reversible, camo on one side, white on the other?

Well the camo would be darker... not sure how much darker though. Good question, will look into it.

Always open to trades on a new tent..

Not reversible as the cotton is impregnated fully.

I predict alot of cold nights as hunters are unable to find their tent! :)

camo!!... should make ones that a truck would fit perfectly into. That way we can hide out vehicles near our honey holes and people won't be able to see them.

And I think you'd be able to sell a bunch to people starting grow-ops. You may as well make some money off a multi billion dollar industry.

It would be dark and gloomy inside, but it sure would match the guy with camo underwear, camo socks, camo seat covers, camo graphics on truck and quad, camo gun with shiny ss barrel, enough of the camo on everything geeez

Fuzzy must be camo deprived! ;-). To each his/her own. I saw a fully tuned sports car completely decked out in Hello Kitty once. Hahaha

I think a canvas camo tarp would be in order

I was camped/hunting in thick timber with a good friend in tumbler ridge. I got back to where I thought the wall tent should be and couldnt find it. I started to fire up the gps when I heard the unmistakable sound of a beer being opened. As I peered through the jungle, sure enough, there was the white wall tent 40 or so yards away.

Those stains are "Character marks" and each one tells a story. If you think a few stains are bad you should see Martyonthewaters tent. Some pretty raunchy graffitti for an ex church camp tent.

I would probably stay with the white canvas, easier to spot, guessing a little brighter inside.

How about a camo/white combo?

Yea that's what we thought would work to solve the darkness issue.

The walls on the wall tents seem to get dirty the fastest, so maybe if you had the camo on the sides and the white on the peak it might be the perfect tent. White to let the light in and the peak is the largest area, and camo to hide the dirt on the bottom. hmmmmm, can I change my vote? I voted with out thinking

after using a wall tent since the mid 70s, in the Chilcotin mts, the Kootenays, Babine Lake, - trucks horses, boats, where the camo deal would have been a better tent for getting game or being comfortable

I agree with the darkness issue. As I see it the stains on white are just a roadmap or the fun you've had over the years, and leadins to good camp yarns.

Whenever we use them the only "inside time" is the pitch black anyway, early morning and late night. All other time is outside hunting or drinking/socializing at the fire. I'm sensing only "suspect men" would spend time in a tent together in the daylight.

Military green....what's the difference between that and Camo....as far as lighting needs...At least you won't look like your in a fish bowl from the outside at night with lantern on inside ....
