Just wondering if anyone else has encountered wild hogs around Abby. I saw one this week it was bigger than a cyote, had tusks, non docked tail, pinkish tan with browner spots and it ran fast. Missed it with my truck by about 10 feet. I'm assuming it's a ferrrel type kritter.

Are we allowed to shoot 'em? Can you get a tag? I'd love to hunt a hog. A buddy of mine wants to hunt one with his knife tied to the end of a long stick. lol

I know of an area where I have seen a Blacktail on and off this entire season. Just yesterday I saw her again same area but with a little one now tagging along. Now if I could just find an area like that out of town ugh.

With the surrey area very near carrying capacity and Coquitlam and
Whiterock having high cougar populations, it only makes sense the hogs would push east toward abbotsford. Lots of prime habitat out that way.

Sorry Rusty-Shakles but we can't leave a question like this alone. Seriously I know their used to be some around Chehalis\Harrison area but that was back in the 70's apparently. I know you seen one run across the road in front of you and would suspect it's just an escaped critter from one of the local farms. I wouldn't be banking on a huntable population to put some bacon in the freezer.

Yep it would... I'm really not sure on the legalities on it either... Their might some old law where you could be stoned to death by young children for russel'n livestock.
