Hunting the Logan Lake/ Tunkwa Lake area

Hello everyone,
I will be going out the Tunkwa Lake cabins this week. Any suggestions on where to concentrate my efforts? I don't have an ATV, but I just got a 4x4 truck! Sorry, the redneck in me is very excited to have a truck again. Would I be better suited hunting in whitetail areas this time of year? Is the muley rut over up there (I heard it was running late in some areas). Thanks for any advice/suggestions. God bless.

Hunting still open in that area ? Take a look at tunkwa lake website, they have day to day hunting reports.

Mule deer rut still on in reg 3 from what I've heard. A freind of mine took a very nice 4x3 in 3-29 on Sunday and he was all rutted up with 4 does.

Both mulies and whitetails can be hunted in that area, but if you want much of a chance at a whitetail, be prepared to park your truck and get into the bush. You don't have to go far, but slooowwwww is your friend. You should still see plenty of rutting activity.
