That sucks! When you realized it, did you turn around and retrace your steps? An acquaintance did the same thing coming out of Big Bar years ago after dark. The whole way back they were picking up a boot here, a pot there, coleman stove over there.

Ouch..... that might be a tough one to explain when you get home?

But might be a great time for some up grades and tweaking on your current\past set up. Just trying to think positive for ya.

Might be a good idea to get a sign up in the area. Maybe someone going into that area could put one up for you if you are not any where near the area.

Check with your insurance agent/broker. You might have coverage under your home owners insurance policy.

Howdy, the wife and I were up Exeter yesterday afternoon to the 20 + km. post where the road splits to Dog Creek or Snag Lake -nothing on the road at all, that's why I was asking.
Maybe on the hills coming out of the Fraser? No other traffic on the road when we were there. Later

Ran into a couple guys on the meadow lake road, years ago. They started drinking from the pavement "in" and when they pulled over to piss, all that was dragging was the trailer reach, grinding away on the road. They figured the trailer went flying over an enbankment,as they never say it all the way back out.Your stuff was most likely picked up by the locals,or even other hunters.Crappy having any troubles on a hunting trip, can really taint the over all trip.Be there ,done that, engine troubles, broken trailers, etc.Lousy all around. Were you at least successful on getting some game?Hope so,that can soften the "ouch".

my dad was towing the camp ahead of me. I came up the hill about 30 min later i spotted a tent pole corner. I did collect some of the gear but non of the valuable stuff.

Howdy, just did some insurance for a cowboy from Dog Creek. He just came from there on Exeter road and saw nothing. He thought some of the locals out hunting would have picked it up all ready-sorry. Later

And hasn't heard of anything being picked up???

Hopefully there is something in the load that distinguishes it as yours. We had all of our rifles come out the canopy of my father in-laws pick up between Westwood and Douglas Lk...We got a call from the Vernon RCMP telling us that some good folkes dropped our rifles off.
Maybe that might be a good place to start...call the closest RCMP detachment in case someone turned the stuff in. I think most people out there are basically honest and will try to do the right thing.

Howdy, have you tried checking with the RCMP in Clinton or 100 Mile? There are honest people in the Cariboo who may have reported it/handed it is. Later

No but I will tomorrow. Strange as it may seem it never crossed my mind. Thanks.
