Nothing like having a bunch of uneducated aboriginal elders show you how to pull your head from your ass! Maybe they should now sit down with these people and learn something about this heard and many other things they don't take time to learn.

hehe everyone seems to assume that scientists and biologist know better than anyone else just cuz they sat thru a few classes in universities...
-i just wonder how much money they were paid to "be wrong" over and over.. hehe...

Sounds like with incomplete data (probably from being underfunded), they chose to err on the side of caution.
It also sounds like they learned a valuable lesson, without a catastrophe ocurring.

Well said. And if anyone had been paying them to be wrong, as had been stated, it would have been the mining companies paying them to say everything was fine not that there was a problem. Where is the financial gain to say 'stop everything we have a problem'? They weren't blaming over hunting.
