Now there isn't to much of a story and the deer is nothing compared to doubled's beast but nonetheless i thought i would share.
It started out with my friend and I having to play a 9 45 hockey game hoping to get through that quickly enough to get out and shoot a doe for myself. We were going to go out with my friend's brother and his friend, and their grandpa, intially his brother was pretty indesicive whether or not we were going to out but after some begging and pleading he finally cracked :D
So leaving the arena around 12:30 the plan was to go for a short drive and see if we can catch a whitey moving around late in the afternoon. We had a deal that i would shoot a doe (being a youth) and his grandpa would shoot any buck for meat which worked perfectly for us. We ended driving a back road for a little while and then on the way out we spotted a nice whitetail buck 50 yards from the road that just crested a little hill. After his grandpa pulled the trigger this is what we ended up with.
Sorry i don't have field pictures until he sends them to me ( I'll be sure to add them when he does) but this is the rack he was carrying. The deer had a big body and was a nice surprise to see, fortunately it stood still broadside for pretty long while his grandpa got ready.

It was pretty satisfying the way it ended up considering when you are with friend's it makes the experience 100x better.
