Couldn't believe my eyes yesterday. I was driving down my driveway and when I got the the end a flock of quail flushed. I've never seen them this far west. Mind you we're seeing a lot of magpies as well. Must have something to do with climate change or something.

Lots of Quail around parksville on vancouver island so they are this far west but were probably transplanted.

I saw a covey in peachland a few years back . Wish I could say we had them in the sea to sky , they look like a fun bird.

They're migrating from the Okanagan. :-D:-D
I have anwhere from 50 to a 100 at a time in my yard in Kelowna. One of them commited harikari into my patio door a couple of weeks ago. They are not the smartest creatures out there but can be a lot of fun to watch when they congregate to feed in my back yard.
