With all this great weather we have been having the last few months we felt it was time to go out looking for my family's favorite type of wild mushroom. We went out Sunday to one of our local honyholes. In the two hr we were out there we found four five gal buckets full. This was one of my best hauls and they will be good on the side with some ducks!

Very nice, i have also never tried them although i saw more mushrooms last year around Boston bar than i could ever eat. Do you freeze them? How do they keep ?

We freeze them and jar them but before we freeze them we get a large pot and fill it half way with mushrooms. Them we boil for 10 min in the water that comes out of them. We do not and any water because the have been sitting in water while we wash them. lastly we put them in a colander and let the water drain out. Then in the go into the freezer until we need them.
